New places, all the time

This one is not from a new place, it is a very nice Spanish church on la plaza de la constitution. Parish Nuestra Senora Del Rosa. Mass is all in spanish, but it is our favorite priest. We do not understand much, I am at 1 word out of three. We attend the 11 am mass on SUnday, which is the children's mass they read and sing. when they sing they always use signing. Well for the entrance and exit the priest joins in. This is him singing with the children. I wish I could do this at my church. I wonder if father Gérald would sing with them. It brings the children and parents to church. This week we met with Alister and Natasha. English parents but born and living full time in Spain. My friend JP married them at that church a year ago last fall. I got to know them. They are very nice couple. We are trying to get them to come to Canada in the summer.

That is them here with JP at our new favorite restaurant, San Chocolate (Saint chocolate) I have to go back for their milles feuilles, out of this world I'll send a picture when I do. There is a central garden were you can have all kinds of bio fresh foods.

We were too many too late Sunday, but we will be back for sure. Natasha was telling us that their favorite tapas' place was a place called Bodega Charolais. They have won the Michelin 10 years in a row. Well we had to go check it out. Marlene came with us. It is about 30 minutes walk from home at the most.

The food was delicious, we had 3 small tapas and two full plates, a 1/2 litre of red sangria for $30/each it was a little more than what we usually pay, but worth every pennies. My favorite was a salmon tartare. (one of the full portions 13 euros) and the other full was a dozen shrimps on a hot plate swimming in garlic.

Jim went to the washroom and came back saying give me your phone! I obeyed lol He came back with these two pictures:

Another different washroom lol. This one a little unnerving for a guy, I guess...

Hasta nuestra proxima aventura!

Sylvia I love reading your wonderful blogs and all about your adventures. The food and little restaurants are so appealing. We went out to a small restaurant close by and enjoyed chicken quesadillas -so tasty 😋, and pretty cheap. The men's bathroom was hilarious 😂. I'll bet Jim was surprised 🙀
